Vladimir Gjorgjieski was born on April 8, 1984, in Prilep, Macedonia. He is a distinguished faculty member at the Faculty of Arts and Design at the International Balkan University in Skopje, Macedonia. With a robust academic background and extensive professional experience, Vladimir has made significant contributions to the field of graphic design and education.
Vladimir's academic journey began at the University of St. Clement of Ohrid in Bitola, Macedonia, where he earned a Bachelor of Graphic Engineering in 2007. He continued his studies at the same institution, completing a Master of Graphic Engineering with a focus on Computer Graphics in 2009. He is PhD candidate in Culturology at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje.
Professionally, Vladimir has a diverse background in graphic design and prepress. He started his career as a graphic designer and prepress specialist at Printing House 11 October in Prilep, Macedonia, where he worked from March 2008 to June 2010. He then moved to Offset Graphic Printing House as a graphic designer and production control specialist, where he worked from September 2010 to September 2011. Following this, he served as a graphic designer in the marketing sector at the TKP Prilep until March 2015.
Vladimir's teaching career began in September 2007 as a Junior Assistant at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of St. Clement of Ohrid, where he taught courses in Internet and Multimedia, and Computer Graphics. He progressed to an Assistant role and continued teaching until October 2012. In February 2012, he joined the International Balkan University as an Assistant at the Faculty of Arts and Design, where he taught various courses including Digital Vector Graphics, Digital Raster Graphics, Technical Drawing, Typography, and Packaging Design. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in June 2019, where he continues to teach and conduct research in 3D Packaging Visualization, Computer Graphics, Digital Media, and Digital Printing.
Vladimir is proficient in a wide range of design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDraw, SketchUp, and CAD. He is fluent in English and has a category B driver's license. His research and creative work have been showcased in numerous exhibitions, conferences, and publications, including solo and group exhibitions, international conferences, and webinars.
In addition to his teaching and research roles, Vladimir is actively involved in administrative and organizational activities. He is the Coordinator of the Department of Graphic Design at the Faculty of Arts and Design, a member of the Senate of the International Balkan University, and a member of various organizing committees for international conferences. He also serves as the Editor of the International Journal of Art and Design.
