Maja Gjureska began her studies at the Accademia Italiana in Florence, and continued her education at The Faculty of Art and Design at the European University in Skopje, where she obtained a degree MA in Fashion Design in 2013. She began her academic career at EURM and counts 16 years of experience in higher education, with educational and pedagogical experience acquired in three higher educational institutions in Skopje. During her academic career she has been appointed: Coordinator for the Fashion design department, FAD, EURM; Coordinator for career development and practical practice; Coordinator for the study program of Fashion design, FAD, IBU; Coordinator for Erasmus. Gjureska has been a member of different committees as well as member of University Senate and currently she is a member of the Committee of Textile, Leather and Similar Products (MQF and EQF). Within the scope of her professional activities, she is the author of numerous nominated and award-winning costume design solutions for theatre, stage performance and film. She organized and realized a large number of projects and workshops in the fields of art, design and inclusion, with domestic and international visibility.
